Published by Oasis Staff On December - 23 - 2009
1
The Cowboys dominated the Saints in every way on Saturday. It was hard to watch. They should clinch this week against the Buccaneers though. - Mike Kaus

2
The Colts keep churning out wins, but the Chargers look more like a Superbowl team at this point than Indy. - Rob Leath

3
Another dreadful Sunday night performance leaves the Vikings in danger of losing their first round bye. Keeping this team indoors and giving them a week off may be key if they hope to reach the Superbowl. - Rob Leath

4
If it weren’t for one important fact I could say with some confidence that the Bolts would be the AFC representative in the Super Bowl this year. Unfortunately that fact is still their Head Coach. - Gary Davenport

5
The Eagles are the best looking team in the NFC right now and still have a shot at that coveted first round bye. - Scott Fish

6
Is it just me, or does it feel like this team just doesn’t have enough juice to make any kind of run in the playoffs? - Mike Kaus

7
The Cardinals got back on the winning track, but squeaking out a win over the Lions don’t exactly scream “Juggernaut” - Gary Davenport

8
Randy Moss proved the Carolina DB’s right. He is a quitter. He showed that when he wants to play, he can dominate, when he doesn’t want to play (like in the Carolina game), he quits and has horrible numbers. - Scott Fish

9
The Cowboys took down the undefeated Saints as Tony Romo and Miles Austin put on a show. - Scott Fish

10
The Pack’s winning streak comes to an end, but they’re still sitting pretty in the NFC Wild-Card picture. - Rob Leath

11
The Ravens look playoff bound. Joe Flacco was amazing versus the Bears even though the Ravens probable didn’t even need to pass against that defense. - Mike Kaus

12
A scrappy win over the Dolphins gives the Titans seven wins in their last eight and a shot at the playoffs. - Rob Leath

13
The Giants just barely kept their playoff hopes alive with a dominating win over the ‘Skins. They will need a lot of help to make it. - Scott Fish

It was a struggle, but the Texans toppled the Rams to remain in the chaotic AFC Wild-Card chase. - Rob Leath

15
Hey! After that loss to Oakland maybe Implosion Watch ’09 is on after all at Mile High! Break out the Party Hats! - Gary Davenport

16
The Dolphins are in the cluster of 7-7 hopefuls, but may have one of the toughest route to a home game Superbowl. They must beat the Texans and and Steelers and get help to even make the playoffs. - Scott Fish

17
The Steelers got lucky on Sunday in spite of Mike Tomlin’s Coaching. It feels like he’s flailing and can’t stop. Maybe this past win will right the ship. - Mike Kaus

18
That win kept their season alive, and the last touchdown drive was clutch. - Mike Kaus

19
Their upcoming schedule has the look of an early end to their season. They play the Bengals and Colts. However, if they can get by the Bengals, the Colts may be resting in the final week. - Scott Fish

20
The Jags finally got a sell-out, but they couldn’t notch a win and now appear headed for home come January. - Rob Leath

21
If the Niners had a few more pieces they might actually be contenders in the NFC West. Of course if frogs had wings they wouldn’t bump their asses when they hop. - Gary Davenport

22
The Panthers drubbed the Vikings and set off a controversy in Minnesota. Now that is a destructive defense. - Mike Kaus

23
The Bills actually had a shot at beating the Patriots for awhile before collapsing. - Scott Fish

24
Just another miserable all-around afternoon for one of the NFL’s more disappointing teams. - Rob Leath

Getting rolled by Tampa…way to find a new low there ladies. - Gary Davenport

The Raiders just can’t keep JaMarcus Russell out of their lineup. Now they know how the folks at Golden Corral feel, They change the locks, he breaks a window. They board the windows, he eats the boards. - Gary Davenport

28
Um, not for nothing, but y’all may want to consider occasionally tackling the opposing running back. Playing kick coverage might be a plus too. - Gary Davenport

30
The Lions showed some fight despite some awful quarterback play, but ultimately they succumbed to the fact that their roster is inhabitated by awful players. - Rob Leath

Josh Freeman played very well on Sunday. The Bucs may have found a gem here. I know I wasn’t a believer when they drafted him. - Mike Kaus

32
When you’re calling the fact that Craig Freaking Null threw less than five interceptions “progress” you know your season is in the crapper. - Gary Davenport
