With the preseason winding down and Opening Night just over a week away let’s take an early look at some injury situations around the NFL and their fantasy impact. Quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger Roethlisberger (Achilles) was a full participant in practice Wednesday after being limited in previous days and looks on track to play in the following preseason games and the regular season. Tom Brady The shoulder injury Brady suffered in Friday’s preseason game against Washington is not believed to be [...]

This is the second article on the topic of undervalued players. I use mockdraftcentral.com for average draft position (ADP). For the purposes of this article, I am using ADP as of August 24th, 2009 and analyze who is going too late. Same as before, I am not going to analyze guys in the top 25 because how undervalued can you be if your in the top 25. If a guy’s ADP is in the late 2nd round and you are [...]

Washington Redskins 0 at Baltimore Ravens 23 Review: Both teams’ starters played a little more than a quarter of football with the notable exception of Washington’s offensive centerpieces Running Back Clinton Portis and Wide Receiver Santana Moss who sat out the game entirely. Both squads were also able to move the ball fairly effectively considering their tough, defensive-minded opposition. While Baltimore got the better of the exchanges throughout and was able to put points on the board in their first [...]

The NFC North was dominated by uneven quarterback play and widespread underachievements in 2008 while also having the unique distinction of being represented by an historically awful Detroit Lions squad that allowed the division to boast ownership of the first and only winless season in the history of the NFL. One of the few divisions in football with three legitimate franchises competing on fairly equal footing for the rights to claim the division crown in 2009, quarterback and defensive development [...]

Not since the signing of disgruntled and outspoken Wide Receiver Terrell Owens has a Philadelphia Eagles’ addition generated so much buzz and controversy so immediately as the move recently made by the Eagles organization to acquire disgraced free agent Quarterback Michael Vick. While the Eagles were on the short-list of teams purported to be interested in the skillful skillset and services of the uber-talented Vick, at first glance the marriage doesn’t seem to make much football sense. The Eagles are [...]

DRAFTS ARE COMING!!! Therefore, it is time to explore some undervalued players. I will use mockdraftcentral.com for average draft position (ADP) (for the purposes of this article I am using ADP as of August 12th, 2009), and analyze who is going too late. I am not going to analyze guys in the top 25, because how undervalued can you be if you’re in the top 25? If a guy’s ADP is late 2nd round and you are picking early 2nd [...]

Some high profile NFL players are forgoing romantic entanglement for football focus as the intensity of training camp and the fast approaching regular season have seen multiple cases of shedding spouses. The most notable of these bedded bliss break-ups belong to Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo and New Orleans Saints Running Back Reggie Bush. Romo has long dated the blonde and buxomous bombshell actress/singer extraordinaire Jessica Simpson, who’s ditzy persona, reality television fame, and striking superficial assets have either endeared [...]

Civilian Dwight Dixon has been shot. Again. And for the second time in a little over a year, the shooting of Dixon has once again been linked to ex-Indianapolis Colts Wide Receiver Marvin Harrison. The first shooting incident occurred on April 28th last year in Philadelphia when a gun registered to Harrison was allegedly used to fire five bullets, one of which struck Dixon in the left hand. While Dixon accused Harrison of being the trigger-man himself, and Harrison’s gun [...]

Brees, Brady, and Manning all deserve to be drafted early for different reasons, but if you don’t get one of them you might as well wait a few rounds to get your QB. You will be hard-pressed to find a consensus #4 QB among experts, and that is because everyone else has big question marks. Other than those three, any other QB could have a 2009 season that resembles the 2008 seasons of Mark Bulger, Carson Palmer, or Matt Hasselback. [...]
